Quality and excellence
Somos referente educativo en el ámbito local y nacional, gracias a nuestra oferta académica constituida por trece pregrados, diecisiete especializaciones, siete maestrías y tres doctorados, de los cuales el 75% de los programas acreditables cuentan con reconocimiento de alta calidad.
Asimismo, contamos con una gran oferta de cursos, diplomados y rutas de aprendizaje ofrecidos a través del Centro de Educación Continua y Nodo, el nuevo centro de formación y transformación en tecnologías de la Universidad EAFIT.
Todos nuestros conocimientos y saberes se encuentran enmarcados en las seis áreas de nuestra Escuela: Ciencias Fundamentales, Sistemas Naturales y Sostenibilidad; Territorios y Ciudades; Industria, Materiales y Energía; Computación y Analítica; Diseño de Productos y Experiencias; y Ciencias del Cuidado y la Vida. En las que, a su vez, se encuentra distribuida una planta de profesores altamente cualificada que nos permite garantizar la calidad en nuestra labor educativa e investigativa.
Nuestra Escuela también alberga al Centro de Estudios Urbanos y Ambientales, Urbam, y al Centro de Laboratorios, CLAB, quienes aportan al desarrollo académico e investigativo interno, y brindan soluciones a los diferentes sectores productivos y gubernamentales, fortaleciendo nuestras relaciones con el entorno y generando valor y desarrollo económico, social y ambiental.

We are supported by an ecosystem of laboratories to create and experiment
Our School is supported by a large ecosystem of laboratories: we have 43 of them equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
We have a new building fully equipped for applied sciences and engineering, built with the idea of generating low environmental impact, and designed to be sustainable with the efficient use of energy, air care, waste management and mobility. All integrated into the work of researchers, students, nurseries and laboratory heads, constituting a true gear of research and open learning; available to the student community.
Our campus is a living, active and natural space and a stage for experimentation and learning for the subjects of biology, design, urban planning, among others.

We are a key player in a university city
Medellín is ranked second as the best university city at the regional level, according to the ICU (University Cities Index); and it is the first city in Latin America to enter the PASCAL Network of learning cities. Every year EAFIT receives hundreds of students from more than 15 countries and 446 from other territories in Colombia.

Nuestros estudiantes están en el centro y configuran su plan de estudios
Nuestra Escuela es la primera en implementar una estrategia de transformación curricular que permite a nuestros estudiantes tener una mayor flexibilidad y personalización de su pregrado y contar con un plan de estudios estructurado por competencias y resultados de aprendizaje que responde a las nuevas disposiciones del Ministerio de Educación Nacional (Decreto 1330 y Resolución 21795).
Gracias a estas transformaciones y a la nueva estructura modular de nuestros programas, los estudiantes de pregrado podrán potenciar su perfil profesional y elegir los enfoques en los que desean profundizar en su formación, a través de las trayectorias flexibles y profesionalizantes. Adicionalmente, se ampliarán las posibilidades de doble programa en nuestra Escuela, gracias a la convergencia de los planes de estudio en la formación fundamental en ciencias e ingeniería.

We are innovation in education
Our students are continuously exposed to conversations and processes with real cases and with graduates. They also have multidisciplinary training thanks to the five EAFIT schools and the areas of knowledge that comprise them.
73% of our professors have a docotrate degree or PHd equivalent.
We cultivate early leadership and research
At EAFIT we have 14 student groups, with more than 1,500 members, in which leadership skills are developed through practice.
As a school we have more than 20 research groups and more than 60 seedbeds focused on experimentation and the development of practical technologies.

We are a universe of work for public, organizations and active entrepreneurship
We have the Center for Urban and Environmental Studies, Urbam, which promotes processes in which the urban technical knowledge is combined with the knowledge of the communities, transforming the landscape and the intrastructures in favor of sustainability. This gives our students access to first-hand knowledge from professionals with experience and a track record in the topics of urban planning, decision-making in the public sphere and influence in private companies and organizations that have to do with these issues.
We work hand in hand with NODO, the EAFIT technology training center, a space where the material is transformed and put at the service of the real challenges of organizations, creating practical and exponential learning processes in topics related to web development.
We have an Engineering and Science magazine that presents and disseminates basic and applied research works that contribute to the development of technology, science and industry.
We have a study and impact center, Valor Público, and a space for innovation and social development: EAFITSocial.
At EAFIT we have a special line of Management and Business that provides consulting and also ON.going, the EAFIThigh-impact entrepreneurship center, which connects with the problem and society. More than 21 business landings and impact ventures are based at our university.
Our professors are in permanent contact with organizations, research and with the best universities in the world, as well as, with the problems that affect our society.
We are a gateway to the world
As a university, we have 260 international agreements, 190 partner institutions in 10 countries around the world, approximately 200 students who go on exchange abroad, and teacher exchange and research programs.
We train entrepreneurs
From 2018 to 2022, 782 of our undergraduate graduates at EAFITand 103 graduates have started their own ventures. 12 of them are on the list of the 100 best start-ups in Colombia.

It integrates the methods and knowledge of the exact, natural and computer sciences as a basis for the development of scientific research. Focused on understanding the Earth system (biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere) at different space-time scales, and the imbalances caused by human interventions. It contributes to the training of scientists and engineers and will propose alternatives and technological solutions that harmonize the biogeochemical functioning of the planet, biodiversity and the dynamics of human well-being.
